White Tara Retreat in Conjunction with Ven. Shangpa Rinpoche's Birthday
07/09/2008 to 12/09/2008

White Tara is the embodiment of compassion, granting good health and longevity, enabling us to have more time to practice without obstacles. Her seven eyes compassionately watch over sentient beings at all times.

In conjunction with Ven. Shangpa Rinpoche's birthday, Karma Kagyud Buddhist Centre is organizing a White Tara Retreat led by Ven. Tseyang Rinpoche and dedicated towards Ven. Shangpa Rinpoche's good health and longevity, so that he will be able to continue turning the wheel of Dharma to benefit all sentient beings.

Things to Note:
White Tara
  1. Retreat participants must register themselves before the retreat.
  2. Retreat participants must observe a vegetarian diet throughout the retreat.
  3. Retreat participants will not be staying at the centre.
  4. Retreat participants are advised to attend the White Tara Initiation, Teaching and Oral Transmission.

Kagyud Monlam Pilgrimage Trip from 1st Dec – 15th Dec 2008 (Including visits to Sanchi, Ajanta and Ellora Caves)

Details of the trip may be found in the mini poster. Please note that a sponsorship card for the Kagyud Monlam 2008 is available in our centre. You may write your name, the amount you are sponsoring and your aspirations on the card.

All proceeds will go towards sponsoring of the Kagyud Monlam 2008 event at Bodhigaya which will be graced by His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, Trinlay Thaye Dorje and His Holiness the 14th Kunzig Shamarpa.

Those interested to join in the Pilgrimage Tour, please kindly register your name and submit a $300 deposit by 10 Aug 08, 6pm to the KKBC administrator.

Handouts on the benefits of participating in this Grand Puja and the sponsorship details are also available from the KKBC administrator.
