Preserving a Millennium-old Lineage
"Together, let's uphold the Dharma
and pass on the supreme wisdom-light
of Lord Buddha from
generation to generation"
Over two decades, Karma Kagyud Buddhist Centre has been serving many needs of Dharma followers. The centre has provided both physical and spiritual shelter to many people for many years and now needs costly repair works and maintenance frequently. In addition, as the centre’s activities grew over the years and more devotees participated in the dharma events organized by the centre, the need for a larger centre with improved facilities has become more apparent.
The current building was originally designed as a residential building and for a small family. It is not sufficient to cater for the use as an institution. Therefore, the purpose of redevelopment to build upwards is to provide more space and better facilities for activities that will allow more Dharma brothers and sisters to participate in and learn Buddhism. Besides, we hope to build a sturdy centre that will withstand the test of time, just as the Buddha's teachings have.
It is our sincere hope that the new building will be a shining beacon of hope for Buddhists in Singapore. May it be a place where followers can gain wisdom and inspiration in and be proud of. Most importantly, may it be a sanctuary for the spreading of Dharma for generations to come!
Over the years, the building fund has been increasing though at a very slow rate. We need to raise S$6 million to complete this vision of a new 5-storey building. Do help out by clicking "Ways to Help--->Donate" at the top of your screen!
