There are many activities in our Buddhist Center that you can join. Our activities include: puja & practice, Karmapa & Shamarpa visit, prayers & mantra recitations, transmission & initiations, charities, Buddhist studies & children's Dharma class, and pilgrimage. Puja & Practice

 

Our center holds weekly puja lead by one of the member of our center.


Puja/Practice Time Benefit
chod Chod Puja Thursday, 8pm-10pm To rid the root of defilement, that is the ego clinging, and all the subsequent defilements such as hatred, desire, and ignorance that arise from it.
35 buddhas 35 Buddhas Saturday, 8pm-10pm To purify negative karma, and to accumulate meritorious karma.
green tara Green Tara Sunday, 10am-12pm To help overcoming every obstacle in achieving the supreme qualities of Buddha.

 

Celebration puja lead by Rinpoches and lamas

 

Yearly, there will be puja that occasionally lead by our abbot, Ven. Shangpa Rinpoches and lamas. This is done during special occasion, for .e.g. : during auspicious days, the visit of other rinpoches to our center, or  special celebrations. Two of the occasions are.


Puja/Practice Time Purpose

milarepa

Milarepa Tsog Puja Every 15th of the lunar month, 8pm-10pm To honour Milarepa, the Great Enlightened One who is one of the Greatest Masters of Kagyu Lineage.
mahakala Mahakala Puja Every 29th of the lunar month, 8pm-10pm Mahakala is a protector, the fearful manifestation of Buddha, pacifying all negative forces. In mahakala puja, we ask the protection from Mahakala in our way towards the Enlightenment.
