a positive and correct frame of mind. They serve as great reminders and
inspirations for our daily lives.

Rinpoche with pure heart and contain no superstitious belief in it. It serves as
an antidote to our stressful mind and lead us to a happy life. We want you to
benefit from the relentless and selfless efforts from Rinpoche and his teams.
The proceed of this book will go to fund for rebuilding Karma Kagyud Buddhist

From 8-17 April 2011, Shangpa
Rinpoche led a group of pilgrims to Sri Lanka.
During the 10D/9N pilgrimage, we visited several holy and important Buddhist
sites such as Anuradhapura,Mahintale, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla, Sigiriya, Matale,
Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Adams Peak, Bandarawela and Katharagama. These sites
contain many precious Dagobas (Stupas), Maha Bodhi Tree, fine images of Lord
Buddha, relics and more..

On Shangpa Rinpoche's Birthday, the centre
launched a book of all the beautiful photos taken over the years by our abbot
Shangpa Rinpoche. Shangpa Rinpoche is an avid photographer.
Over the years, he has captured many captivating photos of his
monasteries and nunnery, the places he visited during pilgrimages and teaching
tours and the people he has encountered.
In this photo journal, he offers you an opportunity to see how he views
what surrounds him and his activities, which may be interpreted from the photos
he takes.
Except for photos of Rinpoche himself, the other photos featured in this
book are taken by him.

Sukhavati, the Pure Realm of Great Bliss |

We are pleased to announce the
release of a new Buddhist prayer CD entitled "The Aspiration Prayer of Sukhavati,
the Pure Realm of Great Blissing"? It is composed by the learned and
accomplished Raga Asya and sang by Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche to depict the
wonderful qualities of the Amitabha’s pure land amidst the sounds of ?owing
rivers, songs of birds as well as much heavenly music. It exudes the great
admiration of the qualities of this pure land and one may be inspired with great
devotion and faith towards Buddha Amitabha as well as develop strong wishes to
be reborn to this wonderful pure land. With the immense compassion of the Lord
Amitabha and the favorable conditions he has created, one would definitely be
reborn to the Amitabha Buddha™s pure land.

This prayer is of particularly of great benefits
to beings who are at the end of their life span or in bardo stage. The pure land
of Amitabha Buddha was created by Buddha Amitabha due to the powers of his vows
to benefit all sentient beings.
Sentient beings who possessed
the four causes for rebirth together with their strong faith in Amitabha Buddha
and their bodhicitta wish to be of benefit sentient beings would definitely take
rebirth in this pure land. We encourage everyone to take this opportunity to
accumulate merits and made strong wishes to be reborn to this pure land.
The prayer text and CD were
produced through the generosity of donors who had contributed their talents and
efforts in translating, writing, music, singing, designing etc works as well as
their resources such as facilities and money. We rejoice and dedicate the merits
of everyone who have supported and participated in this project to all sentient
